Direct to Internet Connections
The subscriber links directly via a single hop to the internet. This eliminates multiple points of failure that are possible with terrestrial links and are hence prone to constant service disruptions from clogged cables, vandalism etc.
The HughesNet unit at the client’s location connects to a satellite in geo-stationary orbit and then directly into the hub in Europe or USA. The hub has multiple fiber optic connections to several major internet backbone providers which ensures a fully redundant tier 1 backbone.

- The volumes indicated are only typical of monthly volume usages. Customers who constantly exceed the typical volumes will be given advice and /or tools to manage their usage. Should this not be possible, an upgrade to an appropriate plan will be required.
- Customers who use less than their monthly volumes will be advised to downgrade in order to reduce their monthly service fee.

Remote iWay Internet Gateway (RIIG) is an Access Management software which can also be described as the internet PABX. It can be used as a Mail, Proxy and Cache server. The Anti Spam and Anti Virus features help protect an organizations network from virus and spam attacks. Subscribers who have installed the RIIG are also able to manage traffic by user and view their usage real time. The Firewall and Intrusion Detection System incorporated in the RIIG ensures that an organization is protected from the danger of hackers infiltrating their network.
